Retrieving Duplicate Record Numbers from a PDT – BACKTRACK Problem



This article explains the BACKTRACK error message “Retrieving Duplicate Record Numbers from a PDT” and details how to fix the underlying problem that caused it to appear.


BACKTRACK 12.00.04 is informing you that the data being retrieved from the PDT with this certain record number already exists in BACKTRACK’s database.  This can happen when you are using the Add feature in the PDT.  The BACKTRACK PDT application does not verify that new Items added to the PDT have unique Item # values.


You can choose to either overwrite the existing record with the data being retrieved from the PDT, modify the record number to an available ID, or delete the record being retrieved from the PDT.
