Unable to Print to Intended Printer – TEKLYNX CENTRAL Problem

This article applies to TEKLYNX CENTRAL, and explains the problem of being unable to print to the intended printer.

Symptoms

Using the web interface of Teklynx CENTRAL, the user is unable to print to the intended printer. The intended printer is shown and available to be selected in SENTINEL and CODESOFT, but any attempts at printing fails to produce a label to the desired printer.  After “printing,” the SENTINEL logs state that the print job has been completed.

Explanation

The most likely cause of this problem is the setting in the label design to “Load the printer saved in the document.” This setting cause the program to use the printer set in the label design. If it differs from the one user selected during Web printing, it can cause the print job to be sent to a different printer or generates an error in case the printer does not exist on the TEKLYNX SERVER.
