This Error Message Article explains the LABELVIEW error message “Unable to Obtain Network License” and details how to fix the underlying problem that caused it to appear.
TEKLYNX labeling products running under a network license will periodically check the license server to make sure there is an available license allowing the client software to run. This error message means that the client software, running on a workstation, is unable to find to connect to that license server.
There could be many causes why LABELVIEW could not contact the license server;
- Server is down
- SLicense service is not running on the server
- Network problem caused communication failure with the server
You may need assistant from your IT support or an EBI Technical Support Coach to determine the cause of the problem.
If the connection to the network license utilities is inconsistent, you can also try increasing the tolerance of the license server so that hold the license open for the workstation for longer periods of time. See related article below about changing network license tolerance.
