Unable to Complete Import to LABEL ARCHIVE Server Administration – LABEL ARCHIVE Problem

Summary

This article explains possible causes and solutions for a failure to import files into LABEL ARCHIVE.

Symptoms

  • User is attempting to import a LABEL ARCHIVE export created from an older version of the LABEL ARCHIVE
  • The process does not complete with an error message

Explanation

There may be several reasons for the failure to import:

  1. Import was being attempted on a full working LABEL ARCHIVE Access database file (not an exported Access file) – Error Message Article #01626
  2. There was legacy data in the Documents table, most likely there was duplicate DocID values – Error Message Article #01626
  3. Importing from one version to another without upgrading the database first do the import and export in the same version – Error Message Article #01670
