Explanation

The TkxSvr Servers Service Windows service is not running preventing TEKLYNX CENTRAL from connecting to the UMSS server to authenticate a user.  In the situation where this message was seen, the error message appeared after an attempt to log into TEKLYNX CENTRAL without a valid activation and after the trial period expired.

Solution

Ensure that all relevant services for TEKLYNX CENTRAL on the TEKLYNX CENTRAL server are running.

  • TkxSvr Servers Service
  • SLicense
  • Label Print Manager
  • Label Archive Server
  • LABELNET Host Common

TEKLYNX CENTRAL Services Not Affected:

  • LABELNET.Sync
  • Label Archive Sync Service
