This Error Message Article explains the LABELVIEW error message, “The maximum number of authorized users has been reached. Please, contact your network administrator.” This article also provides details on how to fix the underlying problem that caused it to appear.
As it says, this error message indicates that LABELVIEW failed to open due to a shortage of available licenses. This can happen if the number of users currently using the software is greater than the number of users allowed by the software license. Sometimes, if a user fails to close LABELVIEW before getting disconnected, the software may still hold that license open for the user.
First, verify that the user count is correct. Next, check to see who is currently connected using the TEKLYNX Network License Manager inside TEKLYNX Network Utilities. Any invalid connections should be closed by stopping and restarting the service. Ideally, deleting the unused connections should bring the number of users below the authorized number. A new user should be able to launch LABELVIEW once that is achieved. Should more user licenses be needed, contact us to add more.
