Instructions

  1. Open SQL Server Configuration Manager (in All Programs / Windows SQL Server 2008 R2 / Configuration Tools
  2. In the left-hand navigation, go to SQL Server Configuration Manager (Local) / SQL Server Network Configuration / Protocols fro <Sql Server name>
  3. Make sure the following protocols and enabled:
    • Shared Memory
    • Named Pipes
    • TCP/IP
