Reversing the Barcode for Printing on Black Labels – CODESOFT Instruction Article

Summary

This Instruction Article explains how to reverse the black and white stripes needed to print the barcode in white on a black background (i.e. label) in CODESOFT.

Instructions

  1. Create Barcode object normally
  2. Open Properties for the object
  3. In the Code screen (using left hand navigation), change “Bars” to white and “Back” to black
  4. Select the Character screen (using left hand navigation), make sure a ‘Graphic’ font is used (if not, human readable will likely not appear as most printers do not have reverse character fonts)

IMPORTANT NOTE: Once the bars are changed, the ‘quiet zone’ (immediate space around the barcode) must be black. Most barcode scanners can read reversed barcode
