When installing or running Network Utilities (License Manager) for Teklynx product user received message that the installation failed or program, if installed, failed to function properly.
Situation and Symptoms
- User has Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) version 12 installed with Application and Device Control
- Error 1722 in System Event log
- The error message that the system provides does not give any indication on what may have gone wrong
SEP version is very aggressive in enforcing it’s rules and caused conflict with the Network Utility program.
Modify SEP installation and remove the Application and Device Control option.
