License Server Service Will Not Start – CODESOFT Problem

Symptoms

User is attempting to start the license server for CODESOFT to use the software. Unfortunately, the service will not start.

Explanation

The most common cause for this problem is an invalid license. It could be from an expired license or invalid type of license.

Solution

For existing installation:

  • Confirm that the license has not expired. You may have to contact EBI or TEKLYNX for this information.
  • Confirm that drive C: has sufficient space available for system to function. Typically, > 1GB.

For new installation:

  • Confirm that you have the correct type of license (VM or regular)
  • Confirm that the license was activated
  • Confirm that drive C: has sufficient space available for system to function. ¬†Typically, > 1GB.
