Identify Files in Use by a Specific Windows Process with Task Manager – Windows Instruction Article

There are times, when troubleshooting a software problem, we need to determine which program has what files opened. This article eticle explains how to obtain that information.

Instructions

  1. Go to Task Manager
  2. Click Performance tab
  3. Click Open Resource Monitor
  4. Click CPU tab
  5. Check the Image box (select all or specific image)
  6. Click the Associated Modules band to see the list of files in use by each process or program.
