Summary

This Reference Article defines and explains how to make SENTINEL send output to files instead of printers.

Information

**** Note: Using the feature demonstrated in this article may violate Teklynx licensing agreement. It should be used only with specific authorization from Teklynx. ****

This feature in SENTINEL allows user to have the printout from SENTINEL directed to a text file on demand. It assumes that the printing method is using File capture method.

Insert the following line in the text file.

@JOB_NAME=><Filename – full path>

In a normal print job, the line may looks something like this:

@JOB_NAME=EBS-TC_administrator_80eadc7d-64de-4da5-b6d3-ba72bd8dfaf5

Note that there is no > after the =.

If you are using XML file, the line you should use is:

<JobName>><Filename full path></JobName>
