CODESOFT RDP Error Message

Explanation

TEKLYNX label design software (i.e. CODESOFT, LABELVIEW, and LABEL MATRIX) cannot be run in RDP Mode using a single user license. In order to run these applications in RDP Mode, they must be connected to the TEKLYNX (i.e. CODESOFT, LABELVIEW, or LABEL MATRIX) Network Utility application activated with a network license.

The error message warns the user that they are in RDP Mode. If you continue with the activation, the software will be unable to be run in RDP Mode after activation.

However, you can activate TEKLYNX label design software with a single user license in RDP mode. Once activated, only a direct user (i.e. not in RDP Mode) can use it. Clicking “Yes” after receiving the message, will allow you activate (but not use) the software during the RDP session. This is designed to allow IT professionals to remotely install and activate the software on a PC for a local user.

Solution

If RDP access is required to run the software, the user will need to use the TEKLYNX Network Utilities application activated with a TEKLYNX network license. TEKLYNX Network licenses are available for three users, five users, or more users in increments of five.  For information or help with upgrading, contact us.
