Calculate Default PIN to Exit MCL Client – MCL Instructional Article

Summary

When installing MCL Client on a PDT, the application will run during startup and there is no way to exit the program as it requires a PIN number.

Instructions

The default password PIN is a 4 d-digit number created using using day of the month and month values resorted in a specific order.

Day = DD (always 2 digits)
Month = MM (always 2 digits)

  • A = First Day Digit
  • B = Second Day Digit
  • C = First Month Digit
  • D = Second Month Digit

Therefore…

AB = DD x 2.  (if the result is a 1 digit number, add 0 in front)
CD = MM x 2  (if the result is a 1 digit number, add 0 in front)

PIN = BCAD

Example

Day = 03
Month = 05

AB = 03
CD = 05

PIN = 3005
